The PRCA sanctioned rodeo will be held June 7th and 8th, 2013 at the 3-Crosses/Ken Lance Arena in Union Valley, Oklahoma. The rodeo will feature: saddle broncs, bareback riding, team roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, tie down roping and women’s WPRA barrel racing as well as mutton busting and calf scramble for the local children who would like to compete.

The rodeo stock for the event will be provided by Frontier Rodeo Company based in Winnie, Texas and Freedom, Oklahoma. The company is managed by Heath Stewart and Don Gay. Don is an 8 time PRCA World Champion Bull rider and was inducted in the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1993.

The entertainment for both nights will feature award winning Keith Isley, 8 times PRCA Specialty Act of the Year and 9 times Top Five Finalist “Clown of the Year”. Keith puts on a great show with his trick roping, riding and various animal routines.  He has hilarious jokes, a running banter with the announcer, wild costumes, skits and crowd involvement.

The Glory Riders from Denison, TX will add to the pageantry with their white horse drill and trick riding team.

Rodeo announcer will be award winning Rich Kaye, local radio personality and talented rodeo announcer. He adds so much to the rodeo and his high energy delivery and rodeo knowledge will turn rodeo spectators into true rodeo fans. Award Winning cowboy Mike Fletcher will be on horseback in the arena giving the commentary on the participants and their event.  Co-Announcing is PRCA Announcer Rich Kaye!

The Rodeo QUEEN and Rodeo PRINCESS will  be crowned during the Rodeo.

All proceeds go to support the 3 Crosses Rodeo Bible Camp which will be held July 3rd through July 7th. The Bible camp is open to cowgirls and cowboys from 7th to 12th grades. The Youth Rodeo Bible Camp features hands-on training by pros in the rodeo world. They will receive proper training and technique as well as inspirational stories and instruction about living a successful life by God’s leadership in their life.

Located 7 miles south of Ada Oklahoma off Highway 3. Turn north at the UNION VALLEY Exit (towards Clover Feed).  Go 1 mile. Arena is on the left (west side) . Look for signs for CONTESTANT ENTRY GATE, and VISITOR GATE.

The Gospel Station Annual Fund Drive 2013 – what’s in store

The annual fund drive of The Gospel Station Network runs through the month of April and is the key time when the non-profit ministry receives pledges of support for the year.  This year, the goal is $253,000 which is not just an arbitrary number… so much is on the horizon like TheGospelStation.tv, more Gospel radio stations, The Great Passion Play and more.

The number 253,000 is also significant because over the last 6 years, The Gospel Station’s World Mission Team has brought the Good News of Jesus to many countries, and over 253,000 people have said yes to following Jesus as a result.  From Kenya to Costa Rica, Malawi to The Philippines, Burundi to Uganda, From Nicaragua to Cameroon to Mexico and in revivals in the USA.  The money for missions goes to help the work of feeding children, assisting orphanages in their work and farming, helping the homeless and hungry at the Jesus House in Oklahoma City, building houses for widows and orphans, and  so much more.

In just 15 years, the Gospel Station has grown from 1 radio station, to more than 25 stations, to an online stream with a global listenership, and in the last 3 years, the free mobile app for phones, iPads, and iPods has downloaded over 98,000 times.

In February, The Gospel Station won the People’s Choice Award for the 5th time at the National Religious Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.  The radio statiosn reach all the major markets in Oklahoma such as OKC, Tulsa, Bartlesville, McAlester, Ardmore, and Altus and also expand to Texas, Kansas and Tennessee.   The amazing world-wide listenership is seen in this global map of connected devices:

Most recently, The Gospel Station was able to save a Christian icon from foreclosure; The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs.   Over $75,000 was raised to halt the foreclosure, and the hard work has begun in renovating the grounds, the Bible museum, Sacred Arts center, getting buses for the on-site Holy Land tour, obtaining live animals for the play, and getting the outdoor stage, built into the hillside more than 2 football fields long, ready for the 2013 season set to open May 3rd and 4th, running each weekend through October.  Many visitors come just to see the largest statue of Christ in America, The Christ of the Ozarks, located on the grounds which are open now.  The advance ticket sales have projected that this will be the biggest show that they’ve seen in about 10 years.  This will be its 46th season.  Over the years, over 7 million people have come to this special place. The Great Passion Play is worth saving, worth appreciating, worth attending and many churches sent their spring break youth mission teams to help with the clean up and restoration. Campers on Mission have brought their RVs to the property and made themselves handy in preparing for visitors.  Those who are interested may bring their RV to the grounds and live there and be a full time volunteer, and even be part of the Passion Play itself if they want to; from cast members to ushers, there is something for everybody to get involved.  Just 48 miles south of Branson, it is projected to be one of the major tourist spots again this summer.  www.greatpassionplay.org

Along with the media of radio and internet streaming, The Gospel Station also produces several concerts and Gospel Singings in Oklahoma, such as the Yukon Gospel Celebration, Straford Gospel Celebration (May 18), Annual Konawa OK Gospel Singing (Aug 3) and the largest outdoor Gospel Singing in Oklahoma… the Seminole Gospel Sing (Aug 15-16-17). National Gospel Talent contests are held   August 2nd and 17th. Thousands of people turn out for this annual events.

For the 4th year, The Gospel Station will assist in the PRCA Rodeo at the 3Crosses/Ken Lance Arena in Union Valley.  Thousands come to this family entertainment event including a Queen and Princess contest, mutton bustin, top notch funnyman Keith Isley, and Rich Kaye as the exciting rodeo announcer.  The event will be June 7-8.  Also at the arena, July 3-7, The Gospel Station will produce a Youth Rodeo and Horse Riding Bible Camp for boys and girls in grades 7-12.  www.3crossescamp.com

This year, The Gospel Station will be producing a magazine about the upcoming concerts and the Gospel singers and instrumentalists that will be appearing.  The deadline to have a company listing or space in the magazine is April 28 and the publication will be put in doctors’ offices, hospitals, laundromats, churches, and public places for a wider exposure than is currently in place.

“Our goal is to reach as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” says Randall Christy, founder and president of The Gospel Station, and now CEO of The Great Passion Play.  ”We use every means available to get the message out so that people can find life, hope and salvation in Jesus Christ.”

Along with these endeavors, more radio stations are always slated to be built, bringing Gospel Music to areas that have none or little exposure to this kind of music.  More and more young people are turning on to it, admiring the rich harmonies of quartets, live bands, and talented musicians with wholesome messages,  inspiring singers,  and models of Christian living.

The Gospel Station is growing constantly, and this month-long fund drive is nearing its end on April 30th.  Many individuals, churches, organizations and businesses have pledged their support already – with some becoming members of The Vision Team… those who give on a monthly basis… and so far about 50% of the goal has been pledged.  It is hoped that many in our listening office, or those who have enjoyed our affiliated ministries, will show the value of Christian Media as never before, so that the Gospel will keep expanding its waves of influence.

SAVE THE GREAT PASSION PLAY from CLOSING!

SAVE THE GREAT PASSION PLAY CAMPAIGN – Keith Butler, Chairman of the Board at the Passion Play…and Randall Christy, President and Founder of The Gospel Station Network…are teaming up because the Passion Play needs our help!

The Great Passion Play of Eureka Springs has been an inspiration to over 7.6 million people…and has been a wonderful testimony to the Gospel of Jesus Christ for decades.

THE PASSION PLAY IS IN TROUBLE…It is about to be foreclosed on by the bank….if we don’t act quickly.

The Gospel Station Network has partnered with them to help them raise funds…and to consult with them.

They are about to go under…but we have helped them develop a strategy to keep it going and improve it and increase attendance.

If we can STOP THE FORECLOSURE…we have a PLAN to keep it going for many future generations.

What at shame it would be for the Passion Play to cease…in this day we live…the GOSPEL is what we need MORE of.

We must act to preserve the message of Christ…and this Passion Play is a vital part of it.

It would be a terrible shame to see it go under….and I do NOT believe the Lord wants it to go under and the light to go out on the Christ of the Ozarks.

WE ONLY HAVE TILL DECEMBER 31st TO ACT.

We are trying to raise $110,000 days to pay the bank interest on their note and their property tax.

If you know anyone who would consider giving to this worthy cause…please pass on the message.

I am going back up there next week to meet with their town business leaders. If we don’t raise at least $75,000 by Dec 31st…the bank will foreclose.

THERE’s NO RISK IN GIVING…. We are going to hold all contributions that we receive. If we don’t receive the full $75K by Dec 31st… and the bank forecloses on the property… then we will refund the contribution…AND/OR send the checks back. We will stay in close communication with you on this matter…PLEASE PRAY !!!

I believe we can do this…together…all of us who have been to the Passion Play OR even if you have not…but you BELIEVE that the message of Jesus Christ needs to be preserved and out in the FOREFRONT again in America. It would be SO SAD to see the Passion Play close.

There are several simple changes that can be made to save it.
Marketing and Management and Improvements and Adjustments… IT CAN AND WILL BE SUCCESSFUL if we can SAVE THE PASSION PLAY! We are working with them to change that.

THE  VISION  TEAM

Many people are joining THE VISION TEAM because they want to be a part of keeping Operation Global Impact going.  Since The Gospel Station broadcasts online 24/7, we have listeners all over the world.  Also, we have missionaries who bring the Good News to many nations of the world, through Bible preaching, evangelism, training for Pastors, helping orphanages and children’s feeding centers, offering medical missions for the poor, and bringing good will.  The World Mission Team has blessed many people, and over 250,000 people have come to know Jesus.

We believe that now more than ever… people respond to Good News and the music we play and the message in the music is uplifting and shares the Good News; the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We are a non-profit 501c3 organization, so all of our support comes from listeners, churches, organizations and businesses.  Donations are tax-deductible.

Businesses who want to sponsor The Gospel Station and have announcements about their businesses on the air can get a package of monthly announcements for HALF OFF… offered only during the fund drive.

• 15 Passenger Van — We use these all the time in our ministry; for transport to mission trips, live broadcasts, special events, and for our gospel group to travel to concerts.

• $6,000 Tower rent due

• $10,000 to “save” a large station in Louisville, Mississippi

• $25,000 to build a HUGE station to cover Mt. Pleasant Texas…all the over to the east side of Greenville TX
